CORPORATE HOUSING
Do you typically need to bring your employees to the area to do work? As part of your employee onboarding process, would you like to include short-term housing? Are you the housing coordinator for a staffing agency, hospital or healthcare facility? Are you tasked with securing housing for service members in one of our military bases? Our process is simple and nothing out of the ordinary. These steps can be completed in just a few hours.
- Fill out a free application. We will collect your preferences (for the shared options) and see if there is availability.
- Complete a background and credit check. This can be waived if you send us a copy of your employment contract. We just want to know that you are who you say you are.
- Sign the electronic lease to secure the place.
- Pay the security deposit and first month's rent to get the keys.
- At the end of your stay, a nominal professional cleaning fee will be assessed to get the place ready for the next traveler. The cost will depend on the unit type.
We own all our properties. This is how we are able to standardize the experience and offer flexibility to our clients.
Sharing is not as bad as some people perceive it to be. Just like everything else, it has its pros and cons. Here are some of the reasons why some travelers like the house share option.
Cost: For a single traveler, it makes little sense paying for an entire unit.
Safety: Private units are typically ADUs, basement units or MIL suites attached to an existing property. Some of which are tucked away in remote parts of town. Some travelers would rather be in more populated neighborhoods, especially when travelling alone.
Condition: With the exception of apartment complexes, newer (energy efficient) homes are typically 3+ bedrooms large.
Availability: Single bedroom private units and studios, which is the most sought-after configuration, are difficult to find.
Management: Our units are designed to be rentals. From rent collection to professional housekeeping, the operations are treated as a business. We have no sentimental attachment to any of the amenities or furnishings.
Oh, and some travelers would rather not live close to the property owner.
No more than two people ever share a bathroom. And no more than three people ever share an entire house. With televisions in some of the bedrooms, the kitchens are really the only shared space.
House matching is done using a 3-part formula.
- Work schedules have to be compatible e.g., night-shifters go together and so do day-shifters.
- Pet and pet-preferences have to be compatible.
- Gender preferences are respected i.e., we only place travelers of the same gender in the same house unless the existing traveler consents to having a housemate from a different gender.
We understand that it will not work for everyone, so we can do either of the following:
- Move you to another unit that we own and manage.
- Cancel your lease and allow you move-out at no extra charge.
