Our process is simple and nothing out of the ordinary. These steps can be completed in just a few hours.
We own all our properties. This is how we are able to standardize the experience and offer flexibility to our clients.
Sharing is not as bad as some people perceive it to be. Just like everything else, it has its pros and cons. Here are some of the reasons why some travelers like the house share option.
Cost: For a single traveler, it makes little sense paying for an entire unit.
Safety: Private units are typically ADUs, basement units or MIL suites attached to an existing property. Some of which are tucked away in remote parts of town. Some travelers would rather be in more populated neighborhoods, especially when travelling alone.
Condition: With the exception of apartment complexes, newer (energy efficient) homes are typically 3+ bedrooms large.
Availability: Single bedroom private units and studios, which is the most sought-after configuration, are difficult to find.
Management: Our units are designed to be rentals. From rent collection to professional housekeeping, the operations are treated as a business. We have no sentimental attachment to any of the amenities or furnishings.
Oh, and some travelers would rather not live close to the property owner.
No more than two people ever share a bathroom. And no more than three people ever share an entire house. With televisions in some of the bedrooms, the kitchens are really the only shared space.
